Hexagenia limbata
(Family Ephemeridae)

The largest of all North American mayflies, the species is common from coast to coast on slow moving rivers and on many stillwaters. Some hatches are so thick it takes a snow plow to clear the bridges the following day. Note the two tails and unmarked wings and compare to Ephemera varia
